Harlekyn Marlin Charters can be pre-booked for a private trip (max 4 people) at an amazing rate of R4500 per day (650 USD). The boat will be
fully equipped with fighting chair, outriggers & marlin tackle like penn reels etc. The Harlekyn is also equipped with all the latest GPS and Fish findng equipment.

Every year from November to February, large packs of Sailfish gather along the KZN North Coast and a large number of sailfish are caught
while trolling for game fish like Dorado, King Mackrel, Tuna & Wahoo.

Blue, Black and Striped Marlin are caught in Peak Season from October untill the end of February.

Launching normally takes place just after sunrise at + - 5:30 am - 6:00 am, and we return again at about 13:00 pm. We will be out on the
water for around 6 and a half hours, so come prepared: Please ensure to bring your own lunch packs, soft drinks, and sun block. However, by prior arrangement or reservation, lunch packs and soft drinks can be arranged.

Fishing Methods for Marlin - Lures / Live Bait / Skip Boats

Method 1 - We normally troll a formation of a lures until we pick up Yellowfin or Skipjack Tuna. We then use these fish as a live bait for
Marlin Fishing.

Method 2 - Trolling with live bait like Skipjack Tuna or Bonito and make use of one to two rods with live bait, which also is one of the best
ways to catch the big one.
